Biography

With an expertise in financial planning and over 20 years of investment experience, Mike counsels executives and retirees that have sophisticated financial needs.  He creates customized investment portfolios and strategies to ensure affluent individuals and families achieve their goals. 

A foundation built on trust and integrity is the preeminent factor in his relationships with clients.  As a fiduciary, Mike develops, communicates and executes a cohesive strategy that allows clients to preserve and grow their wealth while producing a predictable stream of income for retirement.  He adheres to this holistic philosophy to manage over $170 million for his clients.  

After working at two large Wall Street firms for the first part of his career, Mike founded Kleinfelder Capital to create a platform where conflicts of interest are minimized and clients' best interests are always put first.  He graduated with honors in economics from Denison University and earned a Masters of Business Administration from Xavier University.  Mike has also fulfilled the experience and rigorous educational requirements to achieve the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation.  

Mike is active in the Cincinnati community through many local organizations.  He sits on the Denison Presidential Advisory Board and is the President of their Cincinnati Alumni Club.  He coaches multiple youth sports teams and volunteers at All Saints School and Church.  He lives in Montgomery, OH with his wife, Katie, and six children.
